Nandita Banik

Biography

Nandita graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Policy Studies. She has previously worked at the Child Development Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Ann Ellis, developing and running eye-tracking studies for preschool children.

In 2019, she worked briefly as a research assistant at Stanford Neurodevelopment, Affect, and Psychopathology Lab where she found her passion for clinical science along with neuroimaging techniques. Broadly, her research interests include clinical symptoms related to sleep and mood disorders and tracking how patterns of change can be useful for early mental health assessment.

In the future, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and work as a researcher and clinician. In her free time, she loves dancing, sipping on coffee in newly discovered cafes, and spending time with friends and family.
